First, like almost all shows, we finally have a proper opening credits sequence, which is noticeably different from the one in the pilot.

And we finally realise why this show is entitled Hello Ladies ─ it’s his catchphrase. He uses it twice in this episode.

This is actually an isolated incident.

Thanks, HBO, for greenlighting this show. I know you weren’t really ready for Ricky Gervais (The Ricky Gervais Show doesn’t count ─ it’s animated). Or rather, America wasn’t ready for this brand of humour.

But the world is always ready for "short fat guy and tall skinny guy" comic duos.

For those who thought Stephen Merchant can’t hold his own without Gervais, I have three words for you: You. Are. Wrong.
