Elementary. Episode 16: "Details"

Like Siege Malvar says about this show: “I’m not comfortable with the New Yorker Sherlock Holmes. He could have been his own character; now he can’t break out of the mold.”

CBS "What if I throw this basketball to break the mold, eh?" |
To paraphrase it: This show could have been its own series. It could’ve stood on its own as a great procedural drama with a formidable cast. But by riding the wave of the BBC’s modern adaptation, CBS forced itself into the Sherlock Holmes mold, and now it can’t get out.

CBS "Yeah, you already said that. Now leave me alone with this cadaver." |
So... Detective Bell has a brother. If only the show were consistent in giving the other characters back stories.

CBS "A Watson-Bell love affair? I totally forbid it." |
