The Vampire Diaries. Season 4. Episode 17: "Because The Night"

"Because the night belongs to lovers!" Like this orgy blood feed.

As much as I'd like to say that song was used in this episode, sadly, it wasn't. "The night" probably refers to the allure of darkness, in which Caroline self-righteously tells Klaus there is none. And yet she's the one who completed the expression triangle—killing twelve powerful witches linked together, with one stroke of her own hand... to save Bonnie. Yeah, it still doesn't change the outcome.

So, should we now prepare to see all of the supernatural undead?
Note: This photo isn't upside-down just to scare.

"Why don't you find someone less terrible you can relate to." In your face, Caroline!

For a change in this show's view of love: Klaus may be in love with Caroline, but he sure is not going to do whatever she wants or be whatever she expects him to be ─ or at least it doesn't show. This flirtation-banter between Klaus and Caroline makes me more excited to see the pilot for The Original spin-off! Have a villain as your main protagonist, and even morals will get blurry.

Elena's shady now, too. (Love the new hair!)

Even Caroline. But are they villains now?

Speaking of villains, Silas/Shane and Klaus meet. The former did get the white oak stake into the latter, just missing his heart to prove a point. He's quicker than our Original hybrid, so what? I'm not sure it will serve the spin-off to paint Klaus as something less than the scariest villain of all.

Magellan taught Klaus to read maps. I wonder if the hybrid has set foot in the Philippines.

P.S. Damon is a man-slut. And it's okay.

Even Lexi just couldn't resist those smoldering eyes.
