Review: The Hangover Part III

The finale of the Wolf Pack saga. The end of Alan (Zach Galifianakis)'s goof-ups. The last misadventure with roofies.

Well technically, there wasn't any misadventure with roofies here (SPOILER ALERT!). They were all hungover after the movie, when the credits were rolling. After Zach got married to Cassie (Melissa McCarthy), that's when things got hazy. That's because the whole movie adventure really didn't involve any hangovers to begin with. It got kickstarted by Marshall (John Goodman) kidnappping Doug (Justin Bartha).

A.k.a. "The dude who always doesn't get to join the (mis)adventures.

Community Season 2 Review, or Now Let's Move On to Season 3

One good thing about Community is that even if it's set in a college, it's not about college. It's about life. It treats college as a microcosm of life, with all it ups, downs, relationships, friendships, and other scholastic what-not.

Anyway, if you remember what happened in the season finale, you'd think to yourself, "How are they going to get themselves out of that mess?" And how are they, really? Let's find out.

1. "Anthropology 101"

Yes, we know. Yuck.

First on the agenda: Get the study group out of the mess that they're in. The mess created by Britta (Gillian Jacob)'s profession of love to Jeff (Joel McHale), and then his subsequent make-out session with Annie (Alison Brie). But you can't start a 22-episode season with awkwardness. So what do you do? Erase everything. Clean slate. And suspend your disbelief, even for just this episode.

And since this is the season opener, we're entitled to a really great end credits sequence. No, it's not "Donde Esta La Biblioteca?" That's so season 1.

Community Season 1 Review, or It's Not Harvard, But Community College Still Rocks

I've heard a lot of great reviews about Community, so I decided to check it out for myself. And I wasn't disappointed.

Although this series is about the college experience, there is nothing nerdy or geeky about this series. No Star Wars references, no Lord of the Rings quotations. This is community college. Which is basically post-high school. I think.


1. "Pilot"

The gang. Or in Spanish, "la pandilla".

The premise: community college. The star: former lawyer Jeff Winger (Joel McHale). The chick: Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs), who in my opinion isn't really as pretty as she promises to be. Just cute, maybe. Definitely not that hot. The weirdo: Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi). And the rest of the cast you'll get to know as we go through the season.
