Game of Thrones. Season 3, Episode 10: "Mhysa"

HBO via DCT

Narratively speaking, a Game of Thrones season finale isn't as powerful as the episode that precedes it. Episode 9s are usually better.

HBO
"This episode doesn't even have a single nude scene!"

Game of Thrones. Season 3, Episode 9: "The Rains of Castamere"

HBO via DCT

With Game of Thrones seasons (especially the first and third ones), the ninth episodes are always controversial.

HBO
No, there's no twin sex here.

Game of Thrones. Season 3, Episode 7: "The Bear and the Maiden Fair"

HBO via DCT

Despite this episode not being penned by showrunners Bennioff and Weiss, it actually is the most Game of Thrones-y episode this season, because it's written by none other than…

HBO
Yes. The bearded one himself.

Game of Thrones. Season 3, Episode 8: "Second Sons"

HBO via DCT

We begin with one of the most unlikely duos in the saga: Arya Stark, and Sandor "The Hound" Clegane.

HBO
He could be the father she lost, and she the daughter he never had.

Review: World War Z 3D, or Five Elements of a Zombie Film

YouTube

World War Z… or as the Brits would say, World War Zed.

Or as some Filipinos would say, "World War Zey".

My favorite film genres are the whodunit, the heist, the biopic, and the zombie film. "But wait," you say in your annoying film major voice, "zombie isn't a proper genre. It is simply a subspecies of the horror genre."

Review: Man of Steel

Filmofilia

Does the human race really need another Superman movie? Considering that the last Superman film came out in 2005, and the Dark Knight trilogy has become the most successful cinematic adaptation of a comic book in history, then the answer would be a resounding YES. So here are five reasons why Man of Steel may have just saved the Superman franchise.

"I wasn't aware the franchise needed saving."

Review: Now You See Me

The Four Horsemen. Or should I say, The Four Con Men. That should be the title right there if we want to base it on the magical performers alone. Otherwise, if you wanna include Hulk in the plot, then it's Now You See Me.

"Do you see me now?!?"

Doctor Who. Series 7, Episode 12: "The Name of the Doctor"

BBC via DCT

And in this series* finale, Steven Moffat finally resolves the mystery of the Impossible Girl, a.k.a. Clara Oswald.

BBC
Clara Oswald and the First Doctor showing us what a proper TARDIS looks like.

Review: The Hangover Part III

The finale of the Wolf Pack saga. The end of Alan (Zach Galifianakis)'s goof-ups. The last misadventure with roofies.

Well technically, there wasn't any misadventure with roofies here (SPOILER ALERT!). They were all hungover after the movie, when the credits were rolling. After Zach got married to Cassie (Melissa McCarthy), that's when things got hazy. That's because the whole movie adventure really didn't involve any hangovers to begin with. It got kickstarted by Marshall (John Goodman) kidnappping Doug (Justin Bartha).

A.k.a. "The dude who always doesn't get to join the (mis)adventures.

Elementary Season Finale, a.k.a. Episodes 23: "The Woman" and 24: "Heroine"

CBS via DCT

As is typical of most American television shows, Elementary stretches its season finale over two episodes.

CBS
Well, at least we get more Natalie Dormer.

Elementary. Episode 22: "Risk Management"

CBS via DCT

I don't know much about the double-episode format. What's that, you ask? It's basically one story broken down into two episodes, with the first episode ending in a cliffhanger to the next one.

CBS
Meanwhile, between episodes, you can go play soccer football.

Review: Furious 6 (a.k.a. Fast & Furious 6)

The Numbers

When you are young, you tend to be an idealist. And you tend to think that good movies are those that tell good stories, with good acting, good cinematography, and other good elements.

Like Elsa Pataky's nudity.
